MEC launches new logo, website and outreach collateral
The Marin Employment Connection (MEC) and the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) of Marin County are pleased to announce the development and launch of a new logo, website and collateral designed to better meet the needs of the growing number of job seekers, businesses and youth who come through the MEC doors to seek assistance. MEC Administrative Services Associate Cynthia Gunselman comments, "At the approval of the Workforce Investment Board we contracted with marketing consultants Chris and Jennifer Finetti with NIA Creative to help us better communicate the connectivity between the Board (Workforce Investment Board) and the one-stop (Marin Employment Connection)." MEC staff worked closely with the NIA Creative team to develop the MEC's new look and feel, and also to ensure that the WIB was more closely aligned with the Marin Employment Connection.
The process began with the development of a marketing and branding strategy, followed by the development of key messaging that better articulated the MEC's mission, values and goals. The logo and color palette came next, followed by a photo shoot to capture client success story portraits, staff portraits and candids of staff and clients in the MEC. The logo, color palette and photography became the key elements upon which the website and other materials were developed.
Gunselman notes, "The end result is a new logo that clearly shows the relationship between the WIB and the MEC, and a much-improved website and collateral that effectively showcase our services, clients and staff."
