Marin’s Unemployment Rate

Staff compared data from the Marin County unemployment rate from 2005 until 2010 and the level of customer activity at the Marin Employment Career Resource Center.  Said Racy Ming, Manager of the Marin Employment Connection, “This graphical display of the data confirms what we have always believed – the unemployment rate directly impacts the demand for services in our Career  Resource Center.”

Client Feedback

Dear Lea: I was a student in your class in July last year, interviewed with a local County shortly thereafter, and then the job was put on hold due to budget constraints.  In November, I was offered the job and my supervisor, one of the interviewers, told me that I was their number one pick!  I have no doubt that your coaching and the video interview really helped, because I walked into the interview knowing how to present myself professionally and confidently.  I have now been working for almost three months and feel like this job was made for me.  I love it!  My original supervisor was given a huge promotion.  My new supervisor is savvy, enthusiastic and supportive.  How lucky can I get?!!  So thank you Lea, for your wonderful class.  I am really grateful for the training I received from you and others over in San Rafael!  Gratefully,  E.J
